I met Steve when traveling for the Government in 1985. I was staying in Davenport and was at the mall eating dinner at a steakhouse when Steve walked in. He looked at me and some how we struck up a conversation. The next thing we were eating together sharing mutual things in common. We became friends almost immediately. I remember his black Trans AM. He showed me around the Quad city and enjoyed each others company. I traveled back several other times for my government duties from 1985 thru 1987 and Steve and I would meet up always him driving his Trans AM. Late 1987 when I travel back to Davenport there was no Steve? I always wondered what happened? it was not until recently and the wonders of the internet I saw his obit. So sad. He never ever told me about his battle (cancer) he was going thru. My most deepest sympathy to him and his family /friends. Until we meet again Steve.
