Davenport-- Memorial services to celebrate the life of Sheri Teshak, 51, of Davenport, will be held at 10 am Thursday, Dec 27, 2012 at Weerts Funeral Home, Kimberly at Jersey Ridge Road, Davenport. Visitation is Wednesday from 4-6 pm at the funeral home. Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, Gilda's Club, or the Metropolitan Community Church of the Quad Cities, where she was a member.
Sheri passed away peacefully after a long illness, on Saturday, Dec 12, 2012 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, in Bettendorf. She was born in 1961 in Davenport to Joseph and Marcia Teshak. After graduating from the University of Iowa, she worked as a legal secretary in Washington D.C. Sheri enjoyed time with family and game day with friends, and she loved to golf.
Survivors include her life partner, Laura Garro, and her parents, Joseph and Marcia Teshak all of Davenport; sisters Julie (Tom) Edmunds, Eustis, FL, and Dawn (Michael) Schneider, Gilbert, AZ, brothers Steven (Bridgette) Teshak, St Peters, MO, and Jeffery (Melissa) Teshak, Davenport; along with her extended family of many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
