DAVENPORT — Funeral services and a Mass of Christian Burial for Robert M. Hutcheson, 54, a resident of Davenport, will be Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015, 10 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1923 N. Fillmore St., Davenport.  Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. today at Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home, 614 N. Main St., downtown Davenport, where a prayer service will be offered at 4 p.m. to begin the visitation. Per Robert’s wish, the rite of cremation will be accorded following the service, and private burial will take place in St. Mary’s of the Woods Cemetery in Princeville, IL. Robert passed away Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015, at his residence in Davenport.  Robert Michael Hutcheson was born on Nov. 27, 1960, in Davenport, a son of Glen Robert and Suzanne Theresa (Hoffman) Hutcheson.  He graduated from Davenport West High School in 1979 and earned a B.A. in theology from St. Ambrose College in Davenport.
He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and a 3rd degree member of the Deacon Gerald Timmerman Knights of Columbus. He was a past Grand Knight of Bettendorf Council 4403 and Past Faithful Navigator of Loras Assembly 266 in the Knights of Columbus. He served on the Honor Guard and was a 4 degree member of the Dr. C.F. Barrett Assembly 3413. Robert earned the rank of Eagle Scout as a member of the Boy Scouts. 

Memorials may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church or to the family. Robert is survived by his mother, Suzanne, Davenport, brother, James (Amy) Hutcheson, Florissant, Mo., sisters, Lisa (Ken) Leonard, Davenport, Pamela Hutcheson, Davenport, Theresa Hutcheson, Altoona, Iowa, and Julie Hutcheson, Davenport, nieces and nephews, Michelle (Leonard) Clark, Stephen Leonard, Victoria Leonard, Keenan Hutcheson, Alexandria Hutcheson, Richard Smith, Ellen Smith and Alexa Smith, a great niece, two great nephews, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Glen, a sister, Mary Ann, maternal grandparents, Ed and Marie Hoffman, paternal grandparents, George and Mary Hutcheson, and his godmother, Julia Rotterman.
