Joel was a great friend not to mention one hell of a drummer and singer. We were in a band after high school and had a blast. Before he passed Joel lamented that he would have liked to open for a famous band in a venue like a stadium. My response was, "Hell with opening for someone... Why not be the headliner?" I went on to tell Joel that, even though we were basically a bar band we did something a lot of people only dream of... and had a BLAST doing it! Happy trails my old friend. Until we meet again.
