Funeral service for Christopher A Bennett, 24, of 3421 6th Ave Rock Island, who died Sunday, Aug 11, 1985, at Moline Public Hospital from injuries he received as the result of an industrial accident, will be at 1 pm on Wednesday at DeRoo Funeral Home and at 1:30 pm at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, in Moline, with the Rev James A Bracke officiating. Burial will be in Muscatine Memorial Cemetery, Muscatine, Iowa where graveside services will be held at 3:30 pm
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm today at the funeral home.
Mr. Bennett was born on Jan 25, 1961, in Muscatine, Iowa the son of Hugh W and Deanna K Bieber Bennett. He married Karen McWilliams on Nov 3, 1984 in Rock Island, Illinois. He worked for the L-P-W Inc Contractors and Engineers in Davenport, as a journeyman millwright for the past 6 years. He was a member of the Millwright Union Local 2158, Moline.
Mr. Bennett attended Waterloo West High School and was a 1979 graduate of Davenport West High School in Davenport. Mr. Bennett was also an organ donor.
Surviving are his wife, his parents, three children, Joshua, Nathan, and William Christopher, all at home, a sister Tiffany J of Davenport, three brothers, Timothy R., MP, stationed in Ft Eustis, Virginia, Gregory S, and Brandon L of Davenport, maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bieber of Muscatine, and paternal grandmother Essie Schmidt of Muscatine.
